At present we do not know a lot about Brother Joe Green Morley.
Temple Lodge records show that Joe Green Morley, age 35, occupation: Bricklayer, made a Petition for Initiation which was received at the Regular Lodge meeting of 13 May 1913. He was recommended by Wor. Brothers Samuel Robinson and Andrew H. Peterson. The following Investigating Committee appointed: W. Bro. Sillence, Bros. Thomas Gibbins and John H. Peterson.
He served as Organist and Junior Steward. Brother Morley seems to disappear from Temple Lodge records in 1931 and we currently do not know what happened to him.

"....A petition was received from Mr. Joe Green Morley for membership of Temple Lodge, No. 33 by initiation. The applicant states that he was born at Leeds, England, on July 26th, 1878. Age 35 years, resides at Duncan, by profession Bricklayer. The applicant is recommended by Wor. Bro. S. Robinson and R. Wor. Bro. A.H. Peterson. The usual fee of $10.00 accompanied the petition.
It was moved by W. Bro. Pitt, seconded by Bro. Senior Warden, that the petition be received and the usual investigating committee appointed. The motion was carried.
The Worshipful Master appointed on this committee – W. Bro. Sillence, Bro. Gibbins [and] Bro. J.H. Peterson...."

“....Moved by Wor. Bro. J.H. Peterson seconded by Bro. Prevost that an order for Ten dollars in favor of the Wor. Master be drawn on the Treasurer to be, by him, handed to the family of Bro. J. Green Morley for charitable purposes. The motion was carried.....”
